Visit our Platinum LEED Certified Watershed Center with your organization or event in mind. We have a variety of spaces available for non-profit and corporate events.
Accommodates up to 150 guests seated and up to 225 standing. Perfect space for receptions, cocktail parties, and large general meetings. The space can be configured for audience or table seating. This space features a magical view facing out towards the Kate Gorrie Butterfly house, rain gardens with native plantings and the historic farm house that served as the Watershed™ offices for many years and was the long-time home of Dr. Muriel Buttinger.

Betty Wold Johnson Learning Room A
Meeting room space that accommodates 50 people seated audience style or 30 people seated classroom style. Learning Room A has A/V capabilities built into the room logistics. Presenters can plug in at the designated speaker podium. This space features a spectacular northern view looking out onto the Watershed Reserve.
$75 per hour
Betty Wold Johnson Learning Room B
Meeting room space that accommodates 50 people seated audience style or 30 people seated classroom style. Learning Room B has A/V capabilities. This space features a spectacular northern view looking out onto the Watershed Reserve.

Betty Wold Johnson Learning Center (A&B)
Combining classrooms A&B into one meeting space allows for larger groups. With the dividing wall open, the combined room can accommodate up to 100 people seated audience style or 60 people seated at tables. The combined Classrooms A & B have A/V capabilities built into the room logistics. Presenters can plug in at the designated speaker podium. This space features a spectacular northern view looking out onto the Watershed Reserve.

Conference Room I
An elegant and private conference room that can accommodate up to 15 people sitting around a conference table or up to 25 for an audience style presentation. Conference call and projector capabilities are available upon request. This space features a spectacular northern view looking out onto the Watershed Reserve.
$75 per hour
Conference Room II
A modest conference room that accommodates 8-10 people comfortably. This space is ideal for small meetings private meetings and small group interviews. Conference call capabilities are available upon request.
$65 per hour
A cozy sizable conference space that accommodates 45 people adjacent to the historic farm house. A/V, speaker podium, restroom, conference calling and kitchenette are available to all rental groups.
$75 per hour
Catering/Food services are not provided, however the Watershed will provide an approved list of local food service vendors who have arrangements with the Watershed to accommodate your group’s needs. The Watershed has a small kitchen located in the environmental center that can be used for light food prep and heating and cooling only. There is no additional charge for the use of the kitchen for food prep.
All organizations, businesses, schools, clubs, and municipalities renting space on the Watershed reserve must submit the following information prior to the scheduled event:
- – 25% non-refundable deposit – balance is due on the date of the event
- – Signed Watershed Rental Agreement
- – Insurance Certificate/Accord listing Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association as additional insured
- – Hold Harmless Agreement signed by an officer of the rental group
- – Groups of 75 people or more must submit a $200 refundable security deposit
All guests are encouraged to take a hike on the Watershed Reserve as part of your event. Hikes can be guided or self-led by simply choosing one of our marked trails. Groups interested in adding a guided hike can inquire during the reservation process.
