Join StreamWatch, The Watershed Institute’s most hands-on science program, and help safeguard our local streams! As a StreamWatcher, you’ll test water chemistry, measure bacteria levels, and assess stream health to provide critical data on pollution and land use impacts. Your efforts will directly contribute to protecting and improving water quality in our community.
As part of the StreamWatch Chemical Action Team (CAT), volunteers monitor over 40 sites across the watershed, collecting essential chemical data. CATS volunteers commit to monitoring one weekend per month, specifically the third weekend, and attend an annual Quality Assurance session in the Watershed Lab. Volunteers measure chemical parameters with a handheld meter and collect water samples for nutrient testing in our lab.
Don’t miss our upcoming training on February 22—no experience needed! Sign up today and make a real difference for our environment.
