Join Our Virtual Butterfly Festival – Aug. 1 9:30-10:30 a.m.

July 24th, 2020

The Butterfly Festival is our biggest event of the year! Sadly, we cannot hold the festival in person this year but we’re bringing the event to you virtually instead.

Join us on Aug. 1 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. for this free online event (and don’t forget to wear a butterfly costume!)

We will treat you to a live tour of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House with Education Director Jeff Hoagland, storytelling, live music and sing-alongs, a special appearance by Lady Monarch Miss Allison, and a showcase of Butterfly Chalk art and photos of our biggest fans in their butterfly finery. Learn about the life cycle of Monarch butterflies and the mystery of migration.

Before the event, we invite you to send us photos. Snap a selfie of yourself and loved ones in their butterfly costumes, and/or create and take a picture of your insect chalk art. We will display your photos during the event and in our online gallery! Be sure to take your photos horizontally by holding your cell phone sideways.

Go here to upload your photos, buy a t-shirt or book and learn more about this year’s Virtual Butterfly Festival!
