Holiday Open House A Success!

December 5th, 2021

The Watershed Institute’s holiday open house on Saturday, Dec. 4 was a success, with about 160 people enjoying the live music, entertainment and light refreshments.

Participants met a range of exotic animals during the Eyes of the Wild one-hour animal show that featured rescued wildlife. Greg McGarvey, a local guitarist, delighted all by playing favorite tunes and some of his original songs.

Families enjoyed time outside and roasted marshmallows around a fire pit. Others opted to take a walk on the 10 miles of trails on the Watershed’s 950-mile reserve. Others explored the hands-on exhibits, did some coloring and the nature-themed scavenger hunt inside of the Watershed Center.

Many shoppers bought holiday gifts for families and friends at the Nature Shop, which offers an array of unique crafts, nature-based ornaments, jewelry, toys, and books, local honey, and more.

We invite you to explore pictures of the event and consider exploring the Nature Shop for your seasonal gifts.
