Students Kick Off Climate Change Conference

High school students are invited to join us for a conference on climate change at the Watershed Center on Sunday, April 23rd from 1:00 to 5:30pm. The free conference is cosponsored by the Watershed Association, Princeton University, and Princeton Day School and is open to students of all high schools. Learn from Princeton University graduate students and Watershed senior staff about climate science, policy and politics.

Tour the highly energy and water efficient LEED platinum certified Watershed Center, engage with students from other schools, and create an action plan for your school that could win a $500 grant to help implement your vision. Enjoy free food and explore topics including:

  • Politics & Policy- The current state of climate change politics in the U.S. and the world, and policy options for addressing carbon emissions.
  • Water- How will the changing climate impact our water resources and what can we do to prepare ourselves?
  • Technical Solutions for Climate Change- What are the technologies currently available and on the horizon that can help solve the climate problem?
  • Food & Agriculture- What are the existing and potential future impacts of climate change on food production around the world?
