Watershed Fellows Collaborate

July 6th, 2017

The Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association is participating in the William Penn Foundation’s Alliance for Watershed Education of the Delaware River with 22 other environmental centers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware to host Watershed Fellowships in order to engage a wider constituency about issues in watershed protection.

True to the Alliance’s mission of forming collaborations across environmental centers, Ngoc Kim (John JamesĀ Fellow) and Supervisor Amanda Beisch from theĀ John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove & Valley Forge Audubon Society, visited with Cedric Lary (Fellow at the Watershed Center) and Science Director Steve Tuorto at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Center to share information on their capstone environmental and outreach projects.

Senior Naturalist Allison Jackson and Stormwater Specialist Kory Kreiseder took time to share their knowledge about maintaining the rain gardens and the Watershed Center so that Ngoc can begin planning her project to install rain gardens in a Norristown, PA neighborhood park.
