Green Infrastructure Training – March 2, 9 & 16

Join us for a hybrid certification program featuring two half-day virtual sessions on March 2 & 9 as well as a full-day in-person field session on March 16. This course is geared for professionals and will focus on sustainable design, maintenance, and native plant choices.

Landscape professionals, engineers, property owners, developers, residents, municipal officials, architects, property managers, and others are invited to register for the training and to see first-hand examples of how to design, install and maintain sustainable landscapes in New Jersey.

Now in its fourth session, the Watershed Institute Green Infrastructure (WIGI) training will involve hands-on learning for participants about various types of green infrastructure, including rain gardens, bioswales, green roofs, and more. The training will be taught in collaboration with professionals from the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professionals (CBLP) program and Roofmeadow, a full-service landscape architecture firm in Philadelphia.

Participants will explore rain gardens, porous pavement, detention basins, and other green infrastructure in Hopewell Borough, at a Hopewell Township residence, and at the Capitol Health Medical Center in Pennington.
