Demonstration of responsible land management continues to be a primary focus on the Watershed Reserve. From 1991 until late 2020, a portion of the Reserve was leased to Honey Brook Organic Farm (formerly known as the Watershed Organic Farm). This privately owned and operated enterprise provided fresh organic produce annually from May to November to about 3,200 shareholders through its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
Under the stewardship of farmer Jim Kinsel, Honey Brook Organic Farm served to showcase successful soil and water management practices and the viability of organic farming, and provided educational opportunities for young and old alike. They grew 60 different types of crops and over 350 varieties!
