Join us on Saturday, October 3, from 6 – 7 p.m. for The Watershed Institute’s 2020 FEST – Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water – celebrating the energy, power and beauty of our planet. Although we can’t be with you in person, we will present an engaging and fun evening for all to enjoy in our free, virtual event.
For those wishing to get into the FEST spirit, you may invite friends to join you (in person or virtually) for a festive evening that includes delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Chambers Walk delivered to your door, wine, and a special FEST 2020 memento. Following our virtual presentation, we will meet-and-greet in traditional FEST best with an optional themed dress, you will have the opportunity to join your friends in a Zoom Party Room in true FEST spirit.
The event will feature guest speaker Richard Preston, New York Times #1 best-selling author of ten books, including The Hot Zone and The Wild Trees. His fiction and non-fiction works reveal hidden worlds of nature and wonder.
Preston’s awards include the American Institute of Physics science-writing award and a National Magazine Award. He has the distinction of being the only non-physician to receive the Centers for Disease Control’s Champion of Prevention Award. He is also a regular contributor to The New Yorker and The New York Times.
