Damon Missouri is an Executive Director and Banker in the Philadelphia office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Damon advises some of the most successful clients in the area, including entrepreneurs, business owners, executives, families, endowments, foundations and not for profits. He brings nearly 20 years of experience to help them define their legacies and deploy their surplus wealth for the benefit of their families and their communities.

Damon understands that every phase of life presents unique financial challenges that require specialized strategies and approaches the loss of a loved one, sudden liquidity, career changes, retirement and inheritance. He draws on his background as an advisor, leader and Army Chaplain to guide clients in navigating these sophisticated transitions. Damon delivers direct access to the specialized capabilities of J.P. Morgan that align with complex needs such as banking, lending, investing, estate planning and philanthropy. He is known for his focus on mitigating risk to help protect all that clients have accomplished.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, Damon spent six years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and previously was in the Private Client Groups for TD Wealth, PNC Bank and Wachovia. Since 2010, he has also served as a Major in the New Jersey Army National Guard as a Brigade Chaplain for over 3500 soldiers. Over the course of his career, Damon has acquired several technology patents and built an impressive background in ultra high net worth advisory, diversity initiatives and national program management. He plays an influential role in expanding J.P. Morgan’s brand in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Damon attended Rutgers University, an institution that has become a family legacy. He earned a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Biological Sciences. Damon holds a M.Div. from Liberty University. He completed advanced professional military education at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

As the father of a special needs child, Damon has a firsthand appreciation for thoughtful life planning. Damon and his wife Nikema live in Hopewell, New Jersey, and are the parents of seven children ages 11 to 26 years.

Peter Q. Tovar was Managing Director and Head of Internal Communications for Legg Mason through January 1st, 2020. In this role, he helped senior leadership, department heads and business partners to develop and implement communications that reinforce our mission and business strategy, drive key business initiatives and engage employees across Legg Mason and our affiliate firms.

Peter joined Legg Mason in February 2008 in Corporate Communications with a mandate to build the Legg Mason corporate brand, hire an ad agency and develop a corporate advertising program. Key deliverables included creation of new leggmason.com and LMEX intranet sites, a new logo (Legg Mason Global Asset Management) and a brand identity system in collaboration with LMGD Marketing.

Prior to joining Legg Mason, Peter spent thirteen years in various marketing capacities at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. He joined there in 1995 as Vice President/Manager for national advertising and was promoted to Director in 1997. Responsibilities included planning and development of all retail advertising, across TV, radio, digital and print. Peter built a Field Marketing & Communications team to improve collaboration with financial advisor sales management on strategic and marketing initiatives and to develop marketing tools and resources to help financial advisors market and brand themselves effectively.

Before joining Merrill Lynch, Peter worked in the advertising industry. At Ogilvy & Mather, in New York, he was VP/Management Supervisor on the American Express account, working on the flagship Green Card, American Express Financial Advisors and Travelers Cheques. Other advertising clients included IBM, Toyota, General Mills and Dean Witter Financial Services.

Peter graduated from Harvard College cum laude and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
