The Watershed Institute Enhanced Model ordinance is based on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)’s model ordinance. The NJDEP model ordinance sets out minimum standards for stormwater management. It also affirms that municipalities may “undertake additional actions including ordinances with standards stronger than the statewide minimum requirements.” This version includes the amendments required by the Inland Flood Protection Rules adopted July 17, 2023.
