Winter Wander

Snowfall in New Jersey is met with excitement and adventure! While the gyms may be closed, the fields, meadows and forests in the region beckon residents to get outside and exercise. Nature offers wonderful ways to recharge and revitalize.

Some folks chose X-Country skiing, while others built snowmen, walked dogs or braved chilly temperatures to bike along the Lawrence-Hopewell Trail. Animal tracks are easy to spot in the snow and the geese honking overhead are a musical soundtrack.

Join us on the 950-acre Watershed Reserve and explore our 10 miles of trails for some outside fun, a break from screen time, and Vitamin D!

Jeff Hoagland, the Watershed’s Education Director, shared his knowledge of groundhogs with a live post!

Note: Trails south of Wargo Pond will be closed on Feb. 13 before 9 a.m. and open the remainder of the day.
